Where is your studio, can you give me directions?
I own my own 1800 sq/ft studio that my wife and I built (we really built everything ourselves!) behind our home on 9 acres about 5 miles northeast of Brighton Colorado. Here is a map and directions to the studio.

Over the years, I have learned from many, many people more knowledgable than myself. I appreciate their hard work and willingness to share their knowledge and experiences with me. Here is a link to those sources.
What primary photographic style do you identify with?
We shoot weddings using contemporary, photojournalism, portraiture and traditional posed styles depending on the desires of our client. Seniors are photographed in an appropriate style that fits their personality. We always seek to provide you with fresh, beautiful photography that you will cherish for years.
What do your packages include?

Do you have liability insurance?
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
All digital images are shot in the highest professional quality in camera RAW format. We offer a full range of artistic effects that create beautiful memories for our clients.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Yes, your photographer will be fully experienced with all types of lighting situations - dark churches that don't allow flash, candlelight, gray skies, bright afternoon sun or snowy days, and everything in between!
Is your media preference film or digital?
All images are shot in digital format using the highest professional quality equipment in camera RAW format.
How many photographers do you work with?
At least two photographers will be used for your wedding unless specifically requested.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, all weddings are assigned primary and backup photographers in case of illness or emergency.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No, your wedding will be our focus on the day that it is scheduled.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, all weddings are assigned primary and backup photographers in case of illness or emergency.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
We shoot with state of the art Nikon and Canon equipment using a full range of various lenses and lighting appropriate for the situation.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, backup equipment is standard practice. All weddings are covered with backup camera bodies and selected lenses.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
We charge a fixed rate for all of our services. We typically do not charge by the hour for serving you but provide you with full-service wedding and event coverage for a fixed fee. We want you to get more than you expect for less money than you expect. Weddings are negotiated with terms pre-accepted and pre-approved by the client. No additional charges are ever added after the fact.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
All I care about is getting the best possible photographs of your wedding day, senior portraits or special event for you. I won't be checking my watch and I don't want you to worry about my schedule. Full-day photography means just that.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No 'breaks' are taken during the day. Photographing your wedding or event is our only task for the day and we will try very hard to provide you with that service.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes, we will travel to your wedding, wherever you are getting married. Weddings are negotiated with terms pre-accepted and pre-approved by the client. No additional charges are ever added after the fact. If travel costs are to be reimbursed, it will be fully documented and approved beforehand.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Proofs are generally delivered to the client within two weeks of your wedding. You will often be able to view a good portion of your wedding favorites while you are still on your honeymoon! (If you want, many couples are having just too much fun!)
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Proofs are delivered in the style and on the media that you desire, either online, a CD/DVD slideshow, or in a leather or spiral bound printed proof book, etc.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The proof book is your's to keep as long as you want it. Online galleries generally remain online for at least 1 year. Digital media remains with you as long as you want it.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, unless prior arrangements are made all copyrights remain with Jack Dean Photography.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, unless prior arrangements are made, a model release is included in the wedding, event or portrait contract.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, high resolution digital files are available if desired for all services.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, online galleries generally remain online for at least 1 year to make it easy for friends and family to purchase later.
What kind of albums do you offer?
A full range of album styles are offered: Magazine Style Albums, Graphi Studio Albums, La-Vie Albums and more.
What kind of presentation services do you offer?
I offer a full range of mounting, matting and framing services at very competitive prices. These are custom crafted, beautiful high quality wood and metal frames using the best matting materials available.
When will the client get the final album?
Delivery time varies with the album style and vendor requirements but usually you can expect your album within 60 days of your wedding.
